The Weir Volunteer Fire Department is located in central Williamson County, about 5 miles Northeast Georgetown, East of State Highway 130. We serve the City of Weir, and the communities of Jonah and Walburg. Our response area is aprroximately 52 square miles with aprroximately 8000 residents. We contract with Williamson County Emergency Services District #6 (WCESD #6) to provide fire and rescue services to the district.

The fire department is comprised of about 30 volunteer firefighters and EMTs and respond to about 250 incidents per year for house fires, wild fires, medical emergencies and various other public services. We have 2 stations and 9 apparatus units.
